Forgotten Australians Awareness Campaign

Forgotten Australians “awareness campaign” endeavoring to make all aware, Child Abuse is prevalent amongst us all and it is up to all to keep this subject in the public domain, a “royal commission” is inevitable if we are to ever get a handle on the cause and the prevention of Child Abuse.

Child Abuse
is a serious problem involving the most vulnerable. Children are reluctant or frightened to report abuse, and when they do, rarely are they believed.

We should educate children on 'stranger danger' and to be aware. Child Abuse refers to neglect, emotional abuse, the physical injury, and the exploitation of a child. Death can be the result of child abuse.

Many children's authorities and parents believe Child Abuse will never involve the children they are caring for, usually because the authorative body thinks they have dotted the "I's" and crossed the "T''s", whilst the mums and dads believe their family or friends would not do this, it doesn't happen in their community.

Children are abused in every cultural background and is in many forms it can be physical, emotional, neglect and sexual.

Someone known to them or by someone they recognise often is the abuser. Authority figures are known to use their power or authority over the child to take advantage of the child's trust and respect.
